Porsche ownership demands the very best technical care. RhineWest brings PIWIS dealer-level diagnostics, IMS bearing expertise, and deep Porsche engineering knowledge to every repair — from the 911 to the Cayenne — without the dealer overhead.
Porsche Integrated Workshop Information System (PIWIS) gives us complete dealer-level access to every Porsche control unit for precise fault diagnosis and module coding.
Porsche modules require PIWIS for proper coding after replacement. We perform all variant coding, adaptations, and software updates in-house.
IMS bearing replacement, cylinder bore scoring diagnosis, Variocam service, oil leaks, cooling system overhaul, and major engine work on all Porsche engines.
PDK fluid and filter service, adaptation resets, and fault diagnosis. PDK service intervals are critical — we perform them to Porsche specifications.
PASM air suspension service, coilover installation, control arm replacement, and precision 4-wheel alignment on all Porsche models including Cayenne and Panamera.
PCCB ceramic composite brake inspection, PBOO brake oil service, caliper rebuilds, and brake pad/rotor replacement to Porsche specifications.
Porsche A and B service, engine oil to Porsche A40 or C30 spec, air filter, spark plugs, brake fluid, and all fluids with proper PIWIS service resets.
Full PIWIS scan plus mechanical inspection — we check IMS bearing condition, cylinder bore scoring, and deferred maintenance on any used Porsche.
Cayenne and Panamera cooling systems are complex. We handle water pump, thermostat, radiator, and coolant flush to Porsche spec with proper air bleeding procedures.
From the Blog
VANOS sludge, cooked turbo lines, bearing wear — our technicians explain what actually happens when oil goes too long, and the interval we actually recommend.
The Intermediate Shaft bearing on M96 and M97 engines (1997–2008) is a well-documented failure point. IMS failure causes catastrophic engine damage. Proactive replacement is the only reliable solution.
Coolant or oil contamination can cause bore scoring in M96/M97 engines, leading to excessive oil consumption and blue smoke. We perform compression and leakdown testing to assess severity.
Cayenne transfer case issues are common on high-mileage examples. Symptoms include AWD disengagement, vibration, and error messages. Requires PIWIS for proper diagnosis and coding after repair.
xDrive models can develop transfer case issues that trigger drivetrain errors and 4WD disengagement. Requires BMW-specific programming after service — not a generic repair.
Variocam plus actuator faults cause rattling on cold start and P-codes relating to variable valve timing. Early diagnosis prevents expensive collateral damage.
Cayenne and Panamera PASM air suspension compressors and air springs fail over time, causing the vehicle to sag. We diagnose and replace with OEM-quality components.
Full PIWIS III diagnostic and programming capability — the same system authorized Porsche dealers use for all service and coding.
We've performed more IMS bearing replacements in San Antonio than any other independent shop — it's one of our most requested Porsche services.
911, Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne, Macan, Panamera, Taycan — we service every Porsche model with equal expertise.
All Porsche repairs at RhineWest are backed by Premier1 Auto Care's extended warranty coverage.
